Privacy policy

This policy explains how Mr. Gatsby (“Mr. Gatsby” or “we”) processes the personal data of people who visit the website mrgatsbyagency.com and of people who contact us, pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”).

1. Data controller

2. What data we process

• Contact details that you give us through the forms on the site, the compatibility quiz, WhatsApp, phone, or email: name, phone number, email address, preferred contact channel, and the content of your message.
• Answers to the compatibility quiz and the quiz result.
• Service data, if you become a client: information about you, your preferences, and the meetings arranged, as needed to provide the service.
• Candidates’ data: profile information, photographs, and videos provided by a woman who registers with the agency.
• Browsing data: technical data needed for the site to work (IP address, browser type, pages requested) and, only with your consent, analytics and marketing data collected through cookies.

We do not ask you for data belonging to special categories (for example, health, religion, or sexual orientation). If you choose to share such data with us, we process it only with your explicit consent and only if it is necessary for the service.

3. Why we process data and on what legal basis

• To respond to your requests and get back to you: performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• To provide the matchmaking agency service to clients and candidates: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To publish or present a profile to other people: the data subject’s consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which can be withdrawn at any time.
• To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• To keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and produce aggregate, anonymous statistics: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Analytics and marketing through cookies: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you give through the cookie banner.

4. Who we share data with

Data is processed by our authorized staff and by service providers that assist us (hosting, email, communication tools), appointed as data processors. If you choose to contact us through WhatsApp, the conversation also passes through that service’s systems. Information about a client or a candidate is presented to other people only with the consent of the person concerned. We do not sell your data to third parties.

5. Transfers outside the European Union

Some providers or members of our team may be located outside the European Economic Area. In these cases, data is transferred only where there is an adequacy decision of the European Commission or appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep data

• Contact requests that do not lead to a contract: up to 24 months from the last contact.
• Client data: for the duration of the relationship and, afterward, for the time required by tax and accounting obligations (as a rule, 10 years).
• Candidates’ profiles: until consent is withdrawn or the registration is canceled.
• Data collected through cookies: for the period indicated in the cookie policy.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing, to object to its processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise these rights, write to mrgatsbyagency@ukr.net: we will reply within one month.

If you believe that the processing violates the law, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of the country where you live; in Italy, this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

8. Are you required to provide your data?

No, but without contact details we cannot get back to you, and without the necessary information we cannot provide the service. Required fields are marked in the forms.

9. Minors

The service is reserved for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in the law or in the service. The date of the last update is shown at the top; for significant changes, we will notify you with a message on the site.
