Terms and conditions

These terms govern the matchmaking agency services offered by Mr. Gatsby (“Mr. Gatsby” or “the agency”) through the website mrgatsbyagency.com. Please read them carefully before purchasing a plan.

1. Who we are

2. The service

The agency offers adults who are free from marital ties a service that consists of searching for and introducing potential partners and arranging meetings, both online and in person. The content of each plan (duration, number of candidates, meetings, and services included) is described on the Plans & pricing page and is confirmed in writing before purchase.

The agency creates opportunities for people with a mutual interest to get to know each other. The decision to begin, continue, or end an acquaintance rests exclusively with the persons concerned: the agency undertakes to provide the service professionally, but it cannot guarantee that a relationship will begin or last.

3. How the contract is concluded

1. You contact us through the site, WhatsApp, phone, or email.
2. We schedule an introductory video consultation, for which a deposit of €80 is required; the deposit is deducted from the price of the plan you choose.
3. We send you a written summary of the plan, the price, and these terms.
4. The contract is concluded when you confirm the order and make the payment.

4. Prices and payments

The prices shown on the site are in euros and include applicable taxes. Payment is made by the methods indicated in the order summary, and a proper tax document is issued for it. Travel, accommodation, and dining expenses connected with in-person meetings are not included, unless expressly stated in the plan.

5. Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion, without having to give a reason. To exercise the right of withdrawal, it is sufficient to send an explicit statement to mrgatsbyagency@ukr.net before the withdrawal period expires.

If you withdraw, we will refund the payments received within 14 days of your notice, using the same means of payment that you used. If you expressly asked us to begin the service during the withdrawal period, you owe us an amount proportionate to what has already been provided up to the time of your notice.

6. Your commitments

• To provide true and up-to-date information about yourself: age, marital status, children, occupation.
• To use photographs that are your own and recent.
• To treat the people introduced to you and the agency’s staff with respect.
• To keep confidential the information you receive about other people.
• Not to use the service for purposes other than seeking a relationship.

7. Our commitments

• To verify the identity and intentions of the people we introduce, with the diligence required by the profession.
• To present your profile only with your consent and to protect your confidentiality.
• To carry out the activities included in the plan and keep you informed of how the service is progressing.

8. Duration and suspension

The service lasts for the period specified in the plan, starting from the date indicated in the order summary. Any suspension or extension must be agreed in writing.

9. Termination

The agency may terminate the contract if the client provides false information, engages in offensive, harassing, or unlawful conduct, or breaches the commitments set out in section 6. In these cases, services already rendered are not refunded. If the contract is terminated because of a breach by the agency, services not yet provided are refunded.

10. Liability

The agency is liable for damage caused by its own willful misconduct or negligence in providing the service. It is not liable for the conduct of the people introduced or for the outcome of any acquaintance. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.

11. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in the privacy policy.

12. Governing law and complaints

The contract is governed by Italian law. In any case, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country where the consumer habitually resides remain applicable; for disputes, the court of the consumer’s place of residence or domicile has jurisdiction. For any complaint, write to mrgatsbyagency@ukr.net: we undertake to reply within 30 days.
